Father Brankin is a retired priest from the Archdiocese of Chicago who lives now in Northwestern Illinois. He is in his 50th year of priesthood, having served as an associate pastor for 12 years and 32 years as pastor. He was sent to Rome for two years for post-graduate studies in art and theology.
He has had a lifelong connection with art having sculpted many pieces in bronze and clay, including a portrait of Cardinal Bernardin and a 9 ft bronze statue of Mary Mother of the Church for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
Fr. Brankin sees his priesthood as coming from and centering around the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. He has written his theses and many articles on the Mass as True Sacrifice and Jesus' Real Presence in the Eucharist. Fr. Brankin has been privileged to celebrate the Traditional Latin Mass for about 35 years (though not exclusively). Father is pleased to help out some of the parishes in the Tri-State area saying Mass and hearing confessions.
